The research to date on the Parrotts tentatively takes us back to the late 15th Century. The research for the connected family groups does not go back that far. The following pages trace their respective lives up to around the beginning of the 20th century.

Over the past 10 years I have appreciated the assistance of a number of people in piecing together the various family threads. I am particularly indebted to my cousin Andrew Ramage for his detailed and comprehensively documented account of the Parrotts. Thanks also go to Sam Porter, Ted La Forte and Ron Perrett.

Booth Family

The maternal forebears of the Parrott family can be traced through three principal family groups -  the Booths, the Ortigers and the
Skipps .and the following table lists the surnames of those people who married into one of these groups.
